I took the Mindfulness and Meditation course to improve my self-care routine and to learn about the practice of mindfulness.  I had been suffering from stress and insomnia, so felt as if I could benefit from these practices.  In the course, we learned how to meditate and about the different types of meditations. We kept a journal of our weekly meditations and how they made us feel. We read an amazing book about mindfulness and self-love.  We were able to reflect on and apply these mindfulness practices in our everyday lives.  The course helped me in so many ways: my insomnia completely subsided with meditation added to my nighttime routine, I learned the importance of eliminating any negative self-talk and I learned how to effectively deal with stress and anxiety.  I am forever grateful for Gabriela and this course!
